Manhunt Launched After Khalife Flees Prison

A nationwide manhunt has been launched for a former British soldier suspected of terror offences after he escaped from a London prison.

Daniel Khalife, 21, was awaiting trial at HMP Wandsworth in south London when he escaped on Wednesday.

The Metropolitan Police said Khalife has been charged with escaping from prison and is suspected of being involved in the planning of acts of terrorism.

Khalife is described as a white male, 5ft 8in tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit and trainers.

Anyone who sees Khalife is urged to call 999 immediately.
